LITTLE FIGHTERS
I photographed these snowdrops last week in my grandmother’s garden. My grandmother has been very sick these last few days and I went to see her, perhaps for the last time.
My father told me that after the snowdrops bloomed, there were a couple of days with freezing temperatures (up to 13C below zero). Although it seemed like they might die, the snowdrops recovered like nothing happened when the temperature went up.
They look so delicate and fragile, yet they are so resilient. They remind me of my grandmother who has been a fighter all her life. No matter what happens I hope she will at least find peace.
